Our battered suitcases were were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life. It's an anywhere road for anybody anyhow.
The first time I traveled to Paris, I fell in love. The city is a sultry mix of old and new, history and modernity, art and city grime. It is cruel and beautiful, grey and enticing, a place that pulls you in with its gardens and museums and high culture thrown right alongside the pulse of a sprawling city. The meandering boulevards with their stone facades and twisted iron gates are enough to keep you wandering forever, from one petite rue to the next. This blog will record my year spent in the city I have always yearned to call my own, Paris.
